The Smart Teacher’s Library
A 1-year coaching program for online language teachers
with Elena Mutonono.
Get guidance. Take action. Create new results.

The language learning industry is failing us.
When you entered the online language teaching world, you saw the unlimited possibilities for growth and financial freedom. The industry’s been booming. As of January 2025, Preply’s annual revenue reached $750 mln [source: LeadIQ].
But there’s a heavy burden that breaks your back, while big corporations make their insane profits off you.
You’re burned out, exhausted and locked into survival mode, charging tiny amounts for your valuable services.
And when you wish to start something on your own, you feel overwhelmed and powerless in this market. You don’t know where to start or how to grow.
If that’s you, then you’re ready for the Smart Teacher’s Library.

The Smart Teacher’s Library is a year-long coaching program and a rich vault of materials for online language teachers who want to build a sustainable business now.
Most online language teachers wait on the sidelines, hoping to one day be ready to take action, while helping big companies stay in business. It’s safe to work for someone else.
But safe doesn’t build dreams. It doesn’t give you freedom. Safe doesn’t help you grow.
When you’re ready, you don’t wait. You step into the arena with courage.
In the Library, you’ll map out your journey and get coached on how to hit your milestones faster.

Join the Smart Teacher’s Library to:

#1: Get guidance on how to transition from teaching in person to teaching online. From a platform to your own business. From individual and group classes to teaching via voice chats. From teaching via voice chats to offering expert experiences in courses, membership programs and in-person retreats.

#2: Take action on strategies that move the needle (aka make you money) immediately. Enough waiting until the perfect time comes. Enough with busyness for the sake of “at least I’m doing something.” Enough with procrastination on the work you want to do, because of your fear of judgment, failure and rejection.

#3: Create results that help you transition out of exchanging time for money. Build a sustainable business that works for you, not “one day when,” but right here, right now, even if you don’t have a website or online presence yet.

Before joining the Library, I felt I had lost direction in my business and I struggled to manage expectations in terms of outcomes and results. I needed guidance, so I signed up for the Library. It has been only 3 months I have been in the library, and I have already experienced how it has benefited me in so many ways. I now value much more the importance of working on my mindset. With the simple self-coaching tools in the Library and Elena´s guidance I feel I can handle much better the ups and downs of this roller coaster journey.
In the past 3 months, I got the confidence I needed to create, launch, and run my first Asynchronous Program, with a small group of 5 students. Being part of the Library has helped me gain clarity and get the support I need to keep moving forward. Thank you for providing such a nurturing space for language teachers!
Why am I so adamant about taking action now?
I started out experimenting online as an EFL teacher in Ukraine back in 2008 (I know!). 2 years later I moved countries, and online teaching became my main source of income.
Within 6 months, I was overbooked and burned out. Because I believed “a good teacher figures everything out on her own,” I decided to “help myself” out of burnout by creating an online course.
My brilliant marketing idea of “let’s create a course and get all my 25 students to recommend it to their Facebook friends so I can have a 6-figure launch,” didn’t work. I added another burnout on top of the one I already had.
Yet it was a blessing in disguise. Whatever tools and skills I’ve learned over a decade, I now share in the Library, to ensure that teachers reach sustainability in less time.
But to get there, you need to start today.

Here’s what some members say about being in the Library…

What’s most valuable is the relationships I’ve created with the members…
I’ve been a member of the Library for over a year now. I found useful resources there but what’s most valuable is the relationships I’ve created with the members. This too has been helping me grow both as a teacher and solopreneur.

I love having access to Elena’s ongoing quality content.
I have been a member of the library since it opened. So I’ve had the experience of going through Elena’s well-organized tutorials when I have practical needs. But the library is still relevant to me. There is always something new to learn and I love having access to Elena’s ongoing quality content.

I can highly recommend becoming part of her community…
Elena is extremely passionate about supporting and helping people build their dream online language business.
Her positivity, experience, and genuine care have given me the courage and focus to dream big and go for it.
I can highly recommend becoming part of her community and taking advantage of all that she offers.

FAQ
“I’m just starting out. Is this right for me?”
Joining the Library and prioritizing coaching (whether you join in real time or watch recordings) will help you move forward 3-5 times faster than you would on your own. Elena helps you develop a plan that will work for you.
“What happens after year 1?”
You can leave or stay for year 2! We’ll send you a message with the invitation to renew your membership. If you join within a specific time frame, you’ll secure the same price. If you wait, you can enroll later but at a new price.
“Why should I invest in the Smart Teacher’s Library and not in cheaper courses?”
The focus in the Library is on getting guidance, taking action and creating results. Most business courses offer help for a specific problem in your business. The Library takes a holistic approach, starting with where you are and guiding you where you want to be, considering your current possibilities and limitations. Elena helps you design your journey and checks in with you every 6 months in a private session to track your progress.
“How can I keep up? What if I’m overwhelmed?”
In the initial private session, Elena will give you recommendations on what to focus on and how much time you can spend monthly to keep moving forward. More isn’t always better. The key question you’ll learn to ask yourself is: what have I done this week that helped me move closer to my next milestone – and not how many videos have I watched.
“I was in this community 5 years ago. Isn’t it still the same?”
If this page is not a good enough indication, the community has changed a lot. It’s less focused on materials and more on coaching to get sh*t done. While it’s important to know your niche and core message, gone are the days when you’ll spend months figuring it out. You’ll start focusing on bringing the money in, niche or no niche, core message or no core message. Because what flows in your bank account will determine how long your business will stay afloat and serve people.
“What if I don’t like it? Can I get a refund?”
No. All purchases are final and there will be no refunds. Everyone who joins the Library commits to the process for at least 1 year. The only exceptions are natural disasters and wars. We’ll consider each on a case-by-case basis and will offer extra months in the Library at no cost.

I appreciate that lots of attention is placed on self-care…
I love Elena’s community. It is a non-judgmental, safe space where I can receive support and answers from different perspectives of business owners. Also, it’s beneficial to my mental health to see what it takes (and how long) to grow your business in reality as people are sharing their experiences. I no longer feel alone, lost, or the slowest person on earth.
I appreciate that lots of attention is placed on self-care – it is an excellent reminder to slow down, take more precise actions and connect with my authentic self. Working with Elena and being in the library changed my perception of a successful business on my own terms and what it means to be my best boss. On my way 🙂

A great community of people that are on a similar career path…
I joined the Smart Teacher’s Library 4 months ago. Not only have I found countless resources to learn from, but also a great community of people that are on a similar career path, eager to share both failure and success, enjoying the process of becoming a better professional and managing our businesses more sustainably.
I have launched my first product and I am experiencing a mindset shift, which is leading me towards delivering less 1:1 online sessions, with Elena’s support and feedback.
María Eugenia Pellegrin, Business English Language Coaching

I learned the fundamentals of community creation…
I started out my journey at the STL hoping to increase my 1:1 prices at Italki and teach Italian. By the time I left it, I had a budding retreat business that allows me to keep my family and also to have time for myself.
The Library helped me broaden my horizons, dare to dream bigger, feel supported in my endeavors, but most of all, show up for myself. After I left, the things I learned helped me create supportive systems automatically.
Not a day goes by that something I learned during my time at the library, comes useful in taking some decisions. Last but not least, I learned the fundamentals of community creation and the connections I built in the library, are still with me six years later.
